Romania/Moldova Cycle Ride

What an opportunity! 19th - 27th May 2012

We are offering 20 people a unique opportunity to take part in our first ever sponsored Moldovan Cycle Ride in support of our many projects in Eastern Europe.  The ride will take place over six days (total 9 days) and go through some of the most exciting countryside and sights. Riding through Moldova is like going back in time.  Here is part of the itinerary to whet your appetite (still in the planning stages)

• Visiting our projects in Iasi, Romania - Future Changed (kindergarten/social work Dallas Shanty Town)
• Crossing into Moldova and staying overnight with local families in Dancu
• Visiting projects in Dancu - Emmaus Club, Inn of Love and the new Youth and Community Centre
• Visiting an Orthodox monastery then going to Orhei town and staying at a tabara (summer camp)
• Visiting Orheiel Vechi - a UNESCO World Heritage Site
• Two man kayaking down the River Nistru and camping in nearby woods
• Visting Cosnita and the Soup Kitchen Link Romania has built
• Ending up in Chisinau, capital of Moldova and lots more

And cycling as well of course 214 miles over six days

Cost is around £500 per person tbc (including flights, accomodation, food, back up teams, kayaking etc)

Plus proposed sponsorship per rider of £1,500
